St Andrew's Presbyterian Church

Due to the COVID-19 virus, the Session of St. Andrew’s has voted
to suspend inside activities, not including worship, at our facility.

Our worship service is each Sunday at 10:00.
We have began in-person worship services along side our parking lot and Facebook Live services. Masks and social distancing are required.
As this is a fluid situation, we will continue to monitor local, state, federal, and common sense guidelines. We will update as needed.

The congregation of St. Andrew’s has proven to be great Prayer Warriors, continuing to support, love, and nurture one another. We pray for each other, our community, and the world always, but particularly and mightily during this difficult time as our sense of normalcy changes day by day.

Hanging of the Greens: November 27th from 10-1pm; we need volunteers to do the following:
• To decorate the tree
• Hang garland and wreaths
• Nativity set up on table
• Place candles in the windows or prepare luminaries if we have the supplies
• Clean-up
• Photographer-this is to take pictures during the hanging of the greens for FB and website

October 31 - November 14: Thanksgiving Food Basket Envelopes End Today
Return checks and/or nonperishable items no later than TODAY. Place checks labeled Local Mission in the offering plate, place nonperishable food items or supplies in box by kitchen counter, donations will be distributed to local area agencies including Outreach East.

November 14 - December 7: Children’s Christmas Gift Cards and Food Donation Envelopes Available Return gifts, checks and/or nonperishable items no later than December 7th. Place unwrapped gifts with the gift card attached to the bagged or boxed donations on table near kitchen, place checks labeled for mission in offering plate, place nonperishable items in box by kitchen counter. Donations will support local area families to be distributed by St. Andrew’s &/or Outreach East.

Mission Honduras 2021: TODAY is the last day to give over-the- counter medicines of all types for mission work in El Porvenir, Honduras. St. Andrew’s has supported this mission for several years. Items may be given to Loraine Clark, Diane Roetter or left on the Kitchen Counter in Calvin Hall. There is a great need because no mission teams have been to the area in two years.

Newcomer’s Gatherings: Sessions held at church in Calvin Hall under Covid protocol. All sessions begin at 2 pm. TODAY – Margaret Gould/Leader (Banners, Creeds and Book of Confessions) Sunday, Nov. 21 – Bob Nicholas/Leader (Presbyterian Church polity from General Assembly to local, St. Andrew’s leadership, Faith Giving Policy)

Bible Study: is doing Lesson #45 “The Standard of Greatness” [November 17th].

Attention Lapeer Rd. Meijer Shoppers: Saturday, December 11, 2021, a ten-dollar ($10) donation to the “Meijer Simply Give Campaign” will be DOUBLE matched by Meijer on Lapeer Rd, Davison for Outreach East Davison. Your $10 will become $30.

Helpers Needed: Opportunities to volunteer at local missions. Do you and/or a friend, relative, grandchild, etc. have a couple hours a month or more to help at a local mission? The Blanket/Quilt Program: Blankets/Quilts for small children can be brought to the church at any time now to be taken to Flint Eastside Mission and Outreach East of Davison by Diane Roetter. Knitters please also remember the hats and scarfs as well, for the colder weather will soon be here.
